I find this development entertaining beyond measure.
A Commander style 9mm Glock with Optical sight and various other enhancements specified by Gunsite instructors.

The question in my mind is whether Jeff Cooper would have embraced this concept or viewed it as a “Rooney Gun.”
But as a lady was quoted in this article about Jews taking up arms in response to anti-Semitism:
“I’ve seen the way the world is changing,” she explained. “I need to change with the world.”
I hope her training includes some commentary about Serious Mistakes Gunowners Make.

Gunsite chose not to add the”Striker” Control Device, to seal the deal. That’s an enhancement all male appendix carriers can appreciate. LOL
Maybe Col. Cooper wouldn’t be quite as pissed, since it does have “45” engraved on the slide. I wonder if Gaston did that on purpose?
Jeff might have eventually come around to accepting that pistol if he’d lived another 40 years. But he was used to swimming against the current so probably not. Even in his lifetime people who worked with him and loved him diverged from his thinking and advocated other paths, and many of the people who developed and embrace this pistol knew Jeff well. They’ve embraced evolution in the field which Jeff often could not because he fought so hard for his core beliefs against a world that followed fads. This is a recognition of where pistolcraft and pistols have evolved, not a rejection of Cooper. At least it has s lanyard ring!
